New for 2010! Boasting a flexible, anatomically shaped aluminum frame, the Mammut Trion Element 40 is well-equipped for lightweight, fast-packing mountaineering and backpacking trips. An array of carry features and gear attachment points make the pack ideal for technical pursuits. The Trion Element 40 utilizes Mammut's Motion V Frame suspension system. A pre-curved aluminum frame ensures that weight is transferred to your hips while allowing the freedom of motion required for technical hiking. The adjustable hipbelt can be removed entirely for when you are using the Trion Element 40 with a climbing harness. Dual-density EVA foam in the backpanel, hipbelt and shoulder straps helps to cushion your load while a breathable Air Mesh material aids in ventilation. By minimizing contact points against your back, Mammut has designed the Trion Element 40 to allow maximum airflow. Load-lifter straps and other adjustment points enable you to fine-tune the fit of the pack. The Trion Element 40 accommodates torsos ranging from 16â-23â in length. The top-accessed packbag provides the Trion Element 40 with 2441 cubic inches of storage capacity. The buckled top lid protects the contents of the packbag from the elements and can be adjusted in height to help with compression of varying loads. Side compression straps further ensure that the contents of the pack remain securely in place. Multiple gear loops allow you to lash gear to the exterior of the Trion Element 40. An integrated rope fixing strap and ski carry system greatly enhance the Alpine performance of the pack. An internal pocket and built-in tube exit point make the Trion Element 40 hydration system (sold separately) compatible. The main body of the Mammut Trion Element 40 is constructed of high tenacity, water-resistant 420D Nylon Oxford HD while the base of the pack utilizes abrasion-resistant 420D Nylon.Price:
